AMET Shipping Private Limited recently launched its five-star cruise liner, mv Amet Majesty. It runs undes India's very own Cruise Lines – Amet Cruises, belonging to JR Group, headed by Dr J. Ramachandran. He is the chairman, and the CEO is Mr P. Bharathi.
The Amet Group has many other flagship services – the Amet University is India's first Maritme University. The Saraswathi Institute of Medical Sciences, located in Anwarpur, Uttar Pradesh, is a leading Medical College and Hospital.
Currently, there are packages for Cochin High Seas, Cochin-Lakshadweep and Cochin-Maldives. Kochi, Mumbai, Goa and Chennai are well-equipped to receive and handle cruise ships. Amet Cruises plans to introduce Mumbai High Sea sailing and visits to Kutch and Goa in India and sailings to Sri Lanka, Maldives, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.
