The mv Tipu Sultan was launched in India in 1988 and is operated by SPORTS (Society for Promotion of Nature Tourism and Sports). It takes passengers from Cochin to Lakshadweep, and back. The cruise time is between 14 and 20 hours. It can easily hold around 650 passengers.
AC and non-AC classes of accommodation are available. Guests can choose from four- and two-berth cabins. Deluxe and tourist classes are also there. The tourist class offers AC seating arrangement. Entertainment lounge, Snack bar and cafeteria and video shows keep you entertained through the journey.
