This tiny but picturesque state has a 105km-long coastline. But it is also known for its plush inlands, paddy fields, rivers and plantations. But most of all, Goa is famous for the sandy white beaches. Konkani and English are the most popular languages, and Portuguese is used by a group of people.
There are various churches and temples to be visited here. Monuments date back to the Portuguese era. British and Portuguese bungalows are plenty. Some of them serve as hotels, homestays and museums. November - March is the best time to visit Goa. Goa’s main river, Mandovi, has ferry and boat services on it.
